Jiva Institute of USA was founded by students of Sri Satyanarayana dasa Babaji. Babaji (born 9 June 1954) is an Indian Chaitanya Vaisnava scholar and practitioner. According to wikipedia (here), Babaji is a polymath, holding a Ph.D. in Sanskrit, a degree in Indian law, a Bachelors of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a Masters of Technology in Industrial Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology. Babaji founded Jiva Institute of Vedic Studies in Vrindavan. He is a scholar par excellence, having published numerous books and original papers in this field, including translations and commentaries on the Sat Sandarbhas. He has been honored by the President of India.
